The 29th Annual Fashionetta® soirée celebrates student scholars and local leaders. This event is hosted by the Pasadena/Altadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA) in partnership with the Pasadena/ Altadena Ivy Foundation (PAIF) to raise funds for student scholarships and community programs. This year's theme, Gaining Global STEAM, highlights the educational areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Mathematics. The Pasadena/Altadena Chapter of AKA is focused on increasing the number of minority students who pursue STEAM careers, excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the global community.
The Pasadena/Altadena Chapter of AKA has a 57 year history of granting scholarships to college bound students where in the 21st Century alone over $150,000 has been awarded. Fashionetta® will recognize the 2017 Scholarship Recipients and a local leader as Mother of the Year. The program will also include a Fashion Show, unique shopping opportunities and a luncheon.
