Since 2015, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA) and NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, have worked to increase "mental health awareness in the African American community."
This year, the Eta Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is excited to celebrate the work of D'Veal, a mental and behavioral health agency committed to serving all individuals. D'Veal delivers culturally relevant mental health services to all individuals. Since 1993, D'Veal has worked toward their mission "to empower families and youth while enhancing communities through innovative and comprehensive behavioral health care services." They understand that balanced families contribute to balanced lives. Under the leadership of John McCall, Chief Executive Office and our Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. brother, they work tirelessly to deliver culturally relevant services.
